Netflix sends Hilary Swank ‘Away’ to Mars

Netflix’s new show “Away”, the first 10-episode season of which drops Sept. 4, takes a realistic, personal approach to the first manned trip to Mars.

It stars Hilary Swank, who won the best actress Oscar twice — first in 2000 for “Boys Don’t Cry” and then again in 2005 for “Million Dollar Baby.”

“Away” comes from the people behind “Parenthood” and “Friday Night Lights,” two shows focused on family drama.
