The Boston Metaphysical Society: The Ghost Ship, an eight-episode steampunk audio drama, has hit its $10,000 Kickstarter fundraising goal with two weeks still to go.

The author of the story, Madeleine Holly-Rosing, was on MetaStellar’s Long Lost Friends YouTube show to talk about the project.

The audio drama is based on the long running and popular steampunk paranormal graphic novel series, Boston Metaphysical Society, about an ex-Pinkerton detective, a spirit photographer, and a genius scientist who battle supernatural forces in late 1800s Boston.

In The Ghost Ship, this team of paranormal investigators investigate a mysterious ghost ship that has sailed into Boston Harbor, killing anyone who boards her and luring children to their deaths.

The production team includes veteran audio drama producers Eddie Louise and Chip Michael from the audio drama Saga and Savant, plus a full cast, special effects, and original music.

Rewards include MP3 downloads, a unique flash drive, a five-disc CD set, and the graphic novels. The campaign, which ends on November 19, has also reached its first stretch goal, at $12,000, which includes digital wallpapers for all contributors.

The campaign is now on its way to the next stretch goal, at $15,000.

Holly-Rosing is a Kickstarter veteran. Not only has she run and fulfilled eight successful Kickstarter campaigns in the past, but she has literally written the book on how to do it. Kickstarter for the Independent Creator is available on Amazon and is now in its second edition.
